End of Season Awards parties are more akin to a Night at the Oscars these days with a string of supporting acts to supplement the much coveted awards.

Once again we were kindly hosted by the Robarts family but on this occasion we were all treated to a 5 piece set by local school band the Kinstar Rockers followed by another wonderful performance from grammy award nominated children’s entertainer, Red Grammer.

The night though belonged to Linus Fonsmark, who became the first ever Stormtrooper to win the best player award, as voted by his fellow team mates, for the second time. Our resident ‘Great Wall of Sweden’ is now a permanent member of our ‘Hall of Fame’ and, along with his parents, Peter and Vivi, will be much missed. Jordan Barnes picked up the Best Player Runners Up award after a terrific season during which he was leading goalscorer whilst Jacob Zimmerman won ‘Most Improved Defender and Sam Metz took home the ‘Most Improved Attacker’ award. The Best Sportsman award was deservedly won by Haydn Robarts.
